NCOA Learning Sciences Seminar

NCOA Learning Sciences Seminar

HQ Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the Institute for NCO¬† Professional Development (INCOPD) Learning Innovations and Initiatives Division (LIID) are pleased to announce that we’ve scheduled a two-day Immersive Training Seminar for training developers and NCOA commandants on 18 -19 November 2015.

(Travel days are 17 and 20 November.)

The purpose of the immersive training program is to introduce Army trainers to engaging and relevant instructional technologies such as highly realistic, interactive games and video-based scenarios, and to consider how such games and scenarios can be incorporated into distance learning (DL) and classroom based instruction. This training event and seminar is grounded in evidence-based instructional design principles that require the application of best practices to guide the use of training technologies to deliver learning content.

Attendees will learn from exercises and presentations led by highly esteemed professors of cognitive science, instructional design, and the immersive sciences.

Who should attend: Primarily training developers (or NCOA Commandant’s representatives) who manage/design instruction to directly support NCOES training (BLC/ALC/SLC/SMC).

Location of this training event:
USC Institute for Creative Technologies
12015 Waterfront Drive
